What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it, so the site can remember things between requests. We also treat similar technologies — such as local storage and any session-state mechanism that has the same effect as a cookie — under this policy.

Strictly-necessary cookies we use

These cookies are required for the Platform to function. We cannot offer you a working sign-in without them. They are not used for advertising or analytics.

• agm_session — an HTTP-only, Secure session cookie containing a signed JWT. It keeps you signed in. For candidates it has a sliding 30-day expiry; for administrators it has an 8-hour cap with a 30-minute idle timeout.
• agm_pending_2fa — only set for administrators between password verification and the two-factor step, with a 5-minute lifetime. It exists so a leaked pre-2FA cookie cannot be replayed as a full session.
• NEXT_LOCALE — set by the i18n routing middleware to remember your preferred language (English, Hindi, or Urdu) so we can show you the right messages on subsequent visits.

Analytics cookies

We do not currently load any third-party analytics cookies (for example, Google Analytics) on the Platform. We rely on first-party server-side logs for reliability monitoring, which do not depend on cookies.

Advertising cookies

We do not run advertising on the Platform. We do not set or allow advertising or marketing cookies.

Third-party content

The Platform's Content Security Policy restricts what third-party content can load. The platform is embedded within the elec.work workspace; cookies set by elec.work on its own domain are governed by elec.work's cookie policy, not this one.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary for the Platform to function, blocking them will prevent sign-in and most functionality from working. If you want to remove cookies set during a previous session, sign out and clear your browser's cookies for this site.

Changes

If we change which cookies the Platform uses we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
